WHAT IS FORGING?
Forging is a manufacturing process that changes the shape and form of metal through the application of pressure and heat. Forging transforms metal into a desired shape and improves the structure of it by refining the metal at a granular level.
Forging is Versatile.
Larson is capable of forging a wide variety of metals such as carbon, alloy and stainless steels, titanium, aluminum and super alloys. Forging can be used to develop a wide variety of designs and shapes. Larson forges simple bars, shapes and complex pieces. We offer custom-designs to meet our client’s needs. No other metal transformation process surpasses forging in producing strength and performance. For this reason, forging is recommended where safety is critical, namely in metal used for automobiles, airplanes, boats and heavy machinery.
